Find Five Decades of Fashion Footage Fast: The Videofashion Library Search Platform
After six months of development harnessing GrayMeta's proprietary Artificial Intelligence software, Curio™, The Videofashion Library Search Platform has launched! The world's largest fashion/beauty/lifestyle video library is now unlocked.
"For the first time in fashion history, archivists, producers, directors, production companies and news media worldwide can search for video content that is fully available for all forms of editorial licensing," said Anne V. Adami, President, Managing Editor, and co-founder of Videofashion.
The Videofashion Library is the industry's de facto "fashion news of record" – an 18,0000 hour video time capsule documenting the art and business of fashion – from runway shows with backstage access, to red carpets and museum exhibits, to studio visits and behind the scenes coverage, not to mention interviews with designers, models, artists and industry experts. Videofashion's seasonal fashion coverage includes ready-to-wear, bridal, menswear, swimwear, couture, jewelry, accessories and more from New York, London, Milan, Paris, and other global fashion capitals. The Videofashion Library is one-stop shopping for fashion footage, segments and programming. The archive contains over 3,000 programs and 19,000 video segments produced since 1976, as well as over 18,000 hours of raw footage.
Recently, The Videofashion Library played a major role in licensing valuable footage to CNN's mini-series American Style, which premieres this Sunday, January 13th.
In addition, Videofashion licensed volumes of content for major documentaries including: House of Z (Tribeca Film Festival, 2017), McQueen (Tribeca Film Festival, 2018), Westwood: Punk, Icon, Activist (Sundance, 2018), Halston (premiering at Sundance, January 2019), and an upcoming documentary about the 50-year career of designer Ralph Lauren, to be completed in 2019. Additionally, Videofashion footage was licensed for designer Jean Paul Gaultier’s live Fashion Freak Show – now showing at the Folies Bergere in Paris – as well as the Netflix series Seven Days Out (January 2019) featuring Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, and the soon to be released documentary series In Fashion, featuring Jason Wu. Videofashion has been instrumental in the launch of a dozen major fashion and women’s channels worldwide.
